It's great to be back in Raleigh this week. I took some time last week and went to Charleston, SC (more on that a little later this week...LOTS of great pictures) and had a great chance to really get away and get organized with life. I know that sounds strange but I have a tendency to get too caught up in my work and I forget about the other aspects of life that make it so exciting. It was a great opportunity for my wife and I to really notice each other all over again and be reminded that three and half years of marriage really only still feels like the first month. But while I was gone several new endeavors that I'm pursuing in order to provide a fresh approach to how I shoot and how I run the business were approved. One of those was being accepted into the talented list of photographers at Modern Photographers.com. It's a great site with plenty of resources for brides everywhere. It's nice to be a part of this community because so many of the photographers are really focused on creating images that go beyond words. I'm excited about the opportunities for growth in the next year and adding Modern Photographers to the mix makes things even more exciting.
On a similar note, for those of you who are planning your wedding right now and are little frustrated with trying to find a great Caterer or DJ or Florist or anything else that you might need that has been planned yet, you should check out The Wedding Wire. It's a great resource for searching out information on local vendors. It's a great place to read reviews from other clients who can give you a feel for their take on the whole experience. It's been a great resource for me in working with new clients and receiving referrals from past clients.
